Obituary for Anthony Biddle

Anthony G. “Tony” Biddle, Jr. of Blue Bell, PA died on June 7, 2022. He was the loving husband of Kelly (O’Neill) Biddle. Tony was born in Bryn Mawr, PA to the late Anthony G. and Barbara (Major) Biddle, Sr. He was a graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School class of 1976. Along with his wife Kelly he is survived by his step-children Alivia J. Stubbs, Tré B. Stubbs, Tylor L. Stubbs, his children Anthony G. Biddle, III and Christina Biddle, his granddaughter Isabela J. Biddle, two brothers John Biddle, Dave Biddle, his sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.
Tony worked in the construction industry right out of high school. He became a member of Stone Masons Local 3 in December of 1977. In 1983, Tony started working for himself, three years later on December 19, 1986 Anthony Biddle Contractors, Inc. was officially a corporation. Besides being a long time contractor with the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 542, he was also a contributing member since June 3, 1997. Anthony Biddle Contractors, Inc. was an active member of the Contractors Association of Eastern PA from 2018-2020. He is a current member of the Subcontractors Association of Delaware Valley. His company was an active member of the American Concrete Pumping Association since 2006, and Tony was the current Regional Director for Region 3 (Northeast) beginning January 2019. Anthony Biddle Contractors, Inc. has been a member of the General Builders Contractors Association for 23 years. Tony was always humbled and proud of what he was able to build over his 45 year career, it is hard to go anywhere in Philadelphia that hasn’t been touched by him. But that wasn’t the only thing he built, he built relationships with his employees, suppliers, fellow building contractors and those that are associated with the greater Philadelphia construction industry.
Tony was a student of his business and went to the World of Concrete every year to see and learn what was new in the industry. He enjoyed golfing and was a long-time member of North Hills Country Club where he made many friends through the Club’s various events. He enjoyed annual golf trips to Las Vegas and Pawleys Island, SC with his closely held friends. Tony had a love for food and could always be relied upon to find just the right spot to share good food with family and his good friends. Relatives and friends are invited to his Memorial Service on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Upper Dublin Lutheran Church, 411 Susquehanna Rd, Ambler, PA 19002. A visitation will be held from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Church. Interment will be Private.
